Rebecca Brody

Dr. Rebecca Brody is an Associate Professor in the Department of Nutritional Sciences- Graduate Programs in Clinical Nutrition in the School of Health Professions at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. She completed her undergraduate degree in dietetics at the University of Vermont and her Masters of Science in Clinical Nutrition, and PhD in Health Sciences (nutrition track) at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers University). She started her career in clinical nutrition and clinical nutrition management and has maintained the Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) credential since 1995.

Currently she works for the Graduate Programs in Clinical Nutrition at Rutgers University where she teaches, mentors masters and doctoral research students, and conducts research on nutrition focused physical assessment, dysphagia screening, nutrition support therapy, and advanced practice topics. She is a commissioner of the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and chairs the Advanced Level Practice Panel for CDR. She is also on the Board of Directors for the National Board of Nutrition Support Clinicians. Dr. Brody has published numerous research and review papers in peer reviewed journals and has presented to international, national and state groups on dysphagia, neurological impairment, nutrition focused physical exam, and advanced dietetics practice.
