ABSTRACT
BACKGROUND: This study aimed to investigate the nutritional status among HIVS/AIDS patients before and after receiving High-Energy High Protein diet. The study design was quasi-experimental. Thirty patients with HIV / AIDS in dr. Saiful Anwar Malang, Indonesia hospital received High-Energy High Protein diet during 30 days. Nutritional status was measured before and after administration of High-Energy and High Protein diet by using  mid upper arm circumference (MUAC). The differences of MUAC score were analyzed using paired t-test. 

RESULTS: The everage of MUAC score before and after receiving High-Energy High Protein diet were 24±2.49 and 27.24±2.37 respectively. Statistical analysis showed that there was significant differences between  MUAC score before and after receiving High-Energy High Protein diet (p=0.000). 

CONCLUSION: The treatment of High Energy and High Protein Diet increased nutritional status among HIV/ADIS patients
